Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Double Action Revolver, #S280572, .44 Mag. cal., 6.5'' pinned barrel, blued finish, dark factory checkered Goncalo Alves diamond center target grips with S&W medallions, ramped blade front sight with red insert, and white outline square-notched rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation; grooved color case hardened trigger and color case hardened target hammer. Mfg'd 1966-1967. Includes non-matching S&W box from the mid-1980's. Condition is excellent, retaining approx. 98% original blue finish; metal with micro scratching, few minor handling marks on the barrel, and a very small group of scratches on the rear of the sideplate that can only been seen when the grip has been removed. Cylinder with a thin index line. Factory lettering with clean crisp edges. Grips have been lightly sanded and refinished, showing normal light handling marks; checkering is sharp. Action cycles smoothly and the cylinder locks up tight. Bore is bright with well-defined rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,300. (C&R)
